Gorillaz Plactic Beach
I am excited to report that Damon Albarn’s cartoon collective, the Gorillaz, is back with their upcoming album, Plastic Beach. The album drops March 9 and will include an impressive cast of collaborators which includes Lou Reed, De La Soul, Snoop Dog, the Bee Gees’ Barry Gib, the Clash’s Mick Jones and many more. Check out the single, “Stylo,” a collaboration with rapper Mos Def & Bobby Womack, right here.
Gorillaz are set to headline the final night of Coachella on April 18. I find this interesting because, well, the Gorillaz are animated characters. So we will see how this performance is unveiled.
I look forward to this new album, as I do every Gorillaz album.
